Experience tradition and luxury at Cemberlitas Baths

Looking for a bath that’s more than just bubbles? Commissioned by Nurbanu Sultan in the 16th century, the Cemberlitas Hammam brings centuries-old Turkish bathing traditions to life. Relax in the steamy marble chambers, indulge in a revitalizing scrub, and let a luxurious foam massage whisk you back to the elegance of the Ottoman era. It’s not just a bath, it’s a time-traveling spa day!

The hammam experience at Cemberlitas

As you enter the centuries-old Cemberlitas, the domed roof and marble interiors immediately set the stage for an unforgettable experience. Settle into the locker room, complete with handy amenities like a hairdryer, bed, mirror, and secure storage. Then, wrap yourself in a traditional pestemal (towel) and let the first wave of relaxation wash over you.

In the warm, marble-clad area, the gentle steam wraps around you like a comforting embrace, opening your pores and preparing your skin for the rituals ahead. A skilled attendant begins with an exfoliating scrub using a kese (mitt), removing impurities and rejuvenating your skin. This is followed by a luxurious foam massage that cleanses your skin and eases tension, leaving you feeling renewed. For added indulgence, you can opt for a peeling treatment and full-body massage, where expert hands melt away the last traces of stress.
Complete your bathing ritual with manicures and pedicures, elevating the experience into a spa-like indulgence. As you step back into Istanbul’s bustling streets, you will feel utterly refreshed and transformed, with glowing skin and a renewed spring in your step.
